Accounting Supervisor
Major Long Island Distribution Company is immediately seeking a detail oriented, hands-on individual to fill an Accounting Supervisor position in our Hauppauge office. The qualified candidate must have a BS degree in accounting with 5+ years corporate financial management experience with a strong track record of promotion and achievement. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, assisting in and reviewing the month end closes and year end closes, preparation and review of financial statements and annual budgets, reviewing corporate and sales tax returns, account analysis, internal controls, supervising a team of four, working with bank officials. The candidate must work well independently, take initiative, be a team player, and have excellent organization and communication skills in addition to strong Excel skills.
